Time of My Life

Coming out of the darkness after the fire has taken me over hills and valleys the past year. For the most part, I have kept to myself about the emotions I have had and the immense grief that still effects me. I do my best to always present a positive attitude and look for the good. Some days, that is really hard to do.

But, through it all, the constant is that I have been able to find things to appreciate and to use as a touchstone for hope. The loss from the fire will always be a part of me, but taking that pain and using it to help others find hope has been my salvation.

I have decided to make the following song my theme song. It was written by Regie Hamm and made famous by David Cook of American Idol 2008. It is about coming into your authentic self and finding the courage to be who you really are (which, by the way, is magnificent). I hope you enjoy this song and know that there is hope no matter what happens to you. Thank you David & Regie for such a heartfelt and meaningful song!
